Big fan of the HD ventilator air filter housing (old one not the new billet one )
Installed one on my 04 bike with the HD filter than came with the unit.
Mileage has been fairly consistent under 70 avg mpg is around 35 over 70 it runs around 30.
So filter looked kinda dirty after 15 k or so of miles
Took off washed and re installed, got constant water drip for about a week even after riding.
So, i decided to pickup a k&n replacement for the stock hd one,
Installed today and just got back from a 300 mile ride. Avg mpg below 70 was 39 and above 70 was 36.
Could the air filter have been that restrictive? To impact mpg by 3 to 4 mpg?. Or am i just feeling the new part bliss and my mileage will return to normal after. A few more tankfuls.
