Default Compensator Eliminator

Is anyone using the compensator elimination sprocket? I spent $500 less than a year ago to upgrade to the SE comp. sprocket and that one is making more noise and vibrating worse than the stock one was. I am just wondering if anyone has just got rid of the comp. all together and got a solid sprocket and what your thoughts are. Thanks.

Some guys don't mind the added vibration and possible damage to the primary and transmission but its my opinion that the aftermarket companies such as Baker have finally giving us a solution. Your bike and your money. Only you can decide. Easy to spend someone else's cash from here.

hard on the lower end of the engine. might end up with your flywheels twisted out of balance.

What kind of vibration are you feeling? Cruise range or idle or something?

I have the EVO industry 30t sprocket. Only have a few thousand on it but so far so good. That said if the Baker compensator was out when I was looking around I wood have had one of those instead.

Cruise on or off, 2500 rpm and up. If i have the cruise set and am on a flat highway it is fine. Any slight incline or a hill and it feels like someone is hitting my engine with a steel hammer. I can feel it in my hands and feet. As soon as the road levels off or I am going downhill it is like my bike is floating through the air. Smoothes right out. Pretty much any time there is a load on the engine, it does it.

Default vibration

I had the same sort of vibration. Just had some motor work done and my indy found that the lifters were too small. Holes for the lifters/tappets were over bored from the factory. new ones were 10 or 15 =thousands over sized. Ive since had it over 100 pulling hard and smooth as glass all through the rpm range. power was bumped up but at 75-80mph on the highway its a different bike. I also had 4 different dealers try to solve the issue (including screaming eagle compensator ) and no cure was found. Harley eventually cut me off saying that if i came up with something they would pay for it. I should send them my bill and see if they cut me a check.LOL

You should. I test rode a new 2015 roadglide. The bike vibrated like crazy and my hands went numb riding around town after less than 4 miles. Something wrong with that brand new, less than 50 mile bike but some unknowing fool will buy it. Rode a new cvo roadglide, SMOOTH. Maybe they keep the crappy $20k bike to increase the sales of $40k bikes. I'll keep my 2000 a bit longer...

Something must have been wrong with that particular bike, I'm aware of many people with new Road Glides and they dont have a problem with vibration, nor is it mentioned as a problem on roadglide.org. If it was a problem, trust me, it would be all over both of these sites.
