I just installed VH oval slip ons and used the new clamps but I'm wondering if the original HD clamps I took off aren't better ?

I had trouble with the clamps that came with the V&H slipons and did go back to the HD clamps. I have read that many have had problems with the V&H clamps.

I put V&H oval slip ons on my RK and I used the HD clamps. Much better fit, save the V&H ones in case you ever need 'em. Remember to check all the bolts after about 100-200 miles and re-tighten if needed.

How do you like the sound??

When I installed the V&H Ovals on my RKC, the clamp on the right side OE muffler pulled off the pipe without even loosening it. I had no issue with the V&H clamps.

As far as the sound, I love it.[sm=smiley20.gif]
