Default Need a bolt

i was working on a friends bike last night and see he is missing a bolt on his rear caliper. does anyone know what size bolt this is? i looked on ronnies hd microfiche but it does not list it. see attached pic

this is a 2012 RG

edit* i think i found the size 10mm-1.50 x 30mm but would like to get verification

It's the same screw that goes in the other hole. Part 4597m $1.49 at a dealer.

that what i thought. dealer here doesnt know what the screw is, found it at local hardware store thanks

I wouldn`t use any hardware store bolts on a brake system.

Get the correct part from the dealer.

Hard to believe that dealer
1. Doesn't know how to read a parts book and
2. Didn't have it in stock

I would replace both with new. Hard telling what kind of stress was loaded on the one bolt.

Yep, would replace them both also and take a good look at the threads. Unless he had work done and someone just forgot to put the 2nd bolt back in there could be other issues - maybe someone tried to force the wrong bolt during reassembly and the threads are trashed so they just left it out. Crazier things could happen, but don't know that I've ever heard of one of those just vibrating loose.

sadly that isnt a surprise from this dealer. they are beyond sub-par in my book. we have another dealer 40 miles away he is gonna call them

Yes. My dealer, and many I have been in, I tell the parts guy what I need, he looks it up, walks into back room and gets it.
