I have their Visa rewards card and I have cashed in the rewards many times when physically shopping at any HD dealer with no problem. Now I want to make a purchase and I found the best price online at Surdyke HD. Before placing my order I contacted them to see if I could use my HD cash and I was told I could not. Here is my inquirey:
"Do you accept Harley Davidson rewards card for parts payment?"
Dear customer,
We do apologize, we do not accept them for our online services. Per HD, we have to address verify every order and we cannot do that with any kind of gift card or prepaid card.
So what's your point. Surdyke gives 20% off - they plainly state HD rewards are not accepted. I have a H-D card and seriously it's BS, only place I use mine is the H-D shop. Why not use a card that gives better rewards and does not limit where they may be redeemed or even credit to your account? I do..

you need to find a better place to shop. i get my hd parts at discount, and use my hd rewards all the time.
i used them with zanotti's when they were around. but now i order my parts from horny toad hd in temple texas. get at least 20% off, shipping is quick (especially since i'm just one state over) and i don't get raped on shipping charges.
email jon @ jon.horton@hornytoadhd.com he'll hook you up. he's also a member here on the forum, though not very active these days (pcpain)
Odd, the rewards gift card is supposed to be the same as any other HD gift card, accepted at any HD location and online. They should not be able to tell if it's a rewards gift card or one you bought at HD or received as a gift.
I thought this was a good reason for the change from certificates to the gift cards, so you could use them anywhere.

i just (2 weeks ago or so) got $900 worth of stuff from Kutter's using Chrome Cash for it all....they might have changed their policy now that they've been sold. Call Anthony and he'll walk you through it (again..unless it's changed since the dealership changed hands).
