I recently purchased a 2006 Electra Glide from Atlantic Motor Plex in Moncton NB Canada. I noticed that the trip button was not working so the dealer said it would be replaced no charge. When they had the bike they noticed that the clutch was slipping so they replaced the clutch- no charge. During all this the service manager indicated that someone had done some serious engine work on the bike in the past. He indicated that the bike had S&S jugs, heads, new fueler plus new pistons etc. He figures instead of 88cu. its now around 95 cubic inches. Not really an engine man myself but that sounds good lol.
Overall the dealer/serivce manager was great and it appears I got more than I bargained for. lol
It seems like your purchase has had a lot of modifications done.Would you have bought it knowing this at time of sale and I wonder why the Dealership didn't tell you the bike was modified at time of sale? Not saying you will have a problem, but it would be good to know the past history of performance modifications & who did them.
Apparently the dealer did not know the extent of the modifications but the service manager indicated that the mod. were professionally done and if there is very a problem they will handle it labour free etc. I was offered the option of exchanging the bike for another but I declined. All is good
