Looking at the Electra Glides, do the hard lowers direct more airflow onto the motor? Looks like a big air scoop to me.
Not sure about more air than not having any lowers but there's enough air flow for the engine.
The scoops are to close off the cold air and rain and if there not open in the hot weather you will notice it quickly, your right leg will get hot in a hurry.
Ive road with my brother on his dyna and his knees down will be soaked just if the road is wet and I will be dry with the lowers. I love the lowers and don't understand why not have them.
My sons sportster sucks to ride very far after I'm useto to my limited...
I read here a while back where some with actual temps reported their bike ran cooler with the factory hard lowers on the bike. I remove mine in the summer for my own comfort.
What I found funny is I have a set of the soft lower that "look" like they would direct a lot of air to the motor but say not to use them in temps above 55 degrees I think. I bought an aftermarket set of vented hard lowers and they block a lot more wind than my soft lowers but they can be used in all temps.
