For hard saddlebags, I purchased a couple of inexpensive, appropriately-sized gym bags that were light weight and thin. I think they were about $6 at Dick's Sporting Goods. I also use a small, waterproof duffel bag for external mounting.

I'd suggest staying away from any bag that "recommends" using a rain cover or liner if the bag is going to be exposed to the weather...they tend to leak.

These guys have some neat liners. I wish I had known about them before I bought the HD ones.

I use the Harley as well in both the saddlebags and the tour pack. Never a problem. I know someone that has these: http://www.storagepouches.com/#!__products

The biggest difference I've seen between the two is that HD bags have the zipper on the top, so you can access saddlebag contents while they are in the saddlebag. His zipper goes around the bag, more like a suit case. Easier in the hotel for packing, but more difficult to gain access to the bag on the road.

I have all three HD liners here also.
Normally can find used one's, where someone has used them a couple of times on eBay, I think I paid around $40.00 shipped.

I have the saddlebag luggage from storagepouches.com. I don't know how they compare to the Harley bags, but I like the one I bought a lot. Good quality. I also use the Saddlemen 3-piece in the other side (though I only use one piece; the rest of the space is for gloves, cover, etc.) I like being able to choose how many bags I use in one side.

I have the innovative storage solutions products. Saddle bag liners and their saddlebag tool pouches. The zippers on the Saddle bag liners are what sold me. Easy to pack and unpack. Easy access while on the bike as well. Nice products

We must be talking about different bags? Mine collapse so I keep my usual stuff in the bottom of the saddlebags and my packable travel needs in my HD bags. IDK what other kind of HD bags are available??????

Harley soft set here, came with the bike when new. We don't use the Tour pack bag very often, but I love the soft bags. Girlfriend gets one and I get the other and that forces us to pack light. Tour takes all the riding gear for both. I love to just grab the two saddlebag liners when we get to the motel or other place we are staying. Camping, well, all rules are out the window. I carry less, she more as "my" stuff includes the inflatable mattress, sheets, tent, etc.

Don't use them for day trips, just for anything over night or longer...yes, those are my socks and underwear drying in the breeze off my rack!

I have the Harley bags as well,no issues with them. Good fit and well made. The price was not much different than the eBay set
