Which model
Hi All
New in here and i'm from regional Western Australia.
Its been on my mind for many years now to pick up an 03 Anniversary Ultra classic as I read somewhere they had a forged crank and are considered pretty good, here in OZ they are still getting up to $18000.00.
I'm probably only 2 months away from actually buying my 1st HD.
I rode a company 1989 FXRP for about 4-5years and loved it, cant see any of those around.
I thought about importing one from the US but the aussie $$$ is pretty shitty ATM.
As I do more searching I see some 08 anniversary Ultra's available in my budget that are quite appealing( are they as good as say 2010 (2009 Build))
The 2010 Ultra's are fetching similar $$$$
I quite like the prospect of something unique or is younger a better option and are Anniversary models likely to retain value longer than say a 2010 IYHO.

Cheers

Selecting an Anniversary model is a very personal choice IMHO. I bought a new '03 Dyna and owned it for several years, although the time came when it had to go. I didn't enjoy any benefit in sale price, except it was a bit more appealing than an older version! So if you choose an '08 do so because you want that bike with all it's Anniversary features. Those include a 6 US gallon tank (first year to get it), which in your neck of the woods may be a good thing!
