Stage II 95" from the factory and I regularly go 46 mpg commuting down 55 mph country roads. Now that my new job takes me down I 85 for 13 miles each way at 75 to 80 mph, the gas mileage is down to 42 mpg, less when the temp hits 95 degrees. I don't think the build is as important as how and where you ride it.
I should have stated when I checked gas mileage I was doing an average of 70mph steady.I used some new ngk plugs for plug chop and put the old plugs back in but plan to now give the bike new plugs , maybe that will improve the mileage. Gets costly when I ride with my wife and I have to fill hers up as well.
Interesting numbers you guys are putting up though. As was said perhaps it's not the build so much as the speed the bike is pushing.
I might add with the baker 6/speed I'm averaging 2500rpm at that speed and when I checked the other time with my bike and my wife's 2002 dyna 120 engine I didn't get any worse trying to keep up with her decision to be throttle happy.
