Default Full Sac Question/Help

My buddy and I went to install my fullsac and when we looked at the new rear header pipe it has a place for a bolt on the pipe. He told me it looks like the spot for the O2 Sensor. My bike is a 2005 Road King Classic (no sensor) He told me to buy a bolt and a crush washer and I'd be ok.

I called fullsac and they are out until Thursday. Should I:

1) Buy the bolt/washer

2) Wait to hear from fullsac

mine did not come that way. a pipe plug, brass one, would work to plug the hole.

Right I think they sent me the kit for the 07. I didn't want to wait until Thursday to talk to someone, then send it back and have to wait for a replacement part. But additionally, I didn't want to "plug" it and it not work correctly and mess my something up in the long run.

ya, I can see you dilema. Plug it and it may cause an exhaust leak. Plus, will having a bolt in your pipe cause any exhaust blockage? I would wait to put it on. Hopefully, you haven't taken off the old pipes and can still ride while you wait. Can't wait to see the finished product. You got the black rear cylindar pipe, right?

Yes I got the black pipe. My bike has been down over a month and it's killing me. I started off doing the bars (12.5 apes) along with grips, switch housing, and everything else. I'm doing the work myself. Once I got the nacelle off I just had to chrome the forks. Since I'm running new cables and have to drop the pipe I decided to go with the full sac. Working on your bike is supposed to save you money but it made me spend more money.

personally I would wait for the right pipe. But there is nothign wrong with plugging the 02 sensor hole either. Just make sure that the bolt doesnt go much past the threads on the 02 bung, and you are good to go.

You are right but they won't be in until Thursday. If I don't ride something soon, I'm gonna run around on my mountain bike making motorcycle sounds. []

Aren't you married? lol You waited this long, another week to get it done right won't kill you. Well, it might not.

These are my 18" bars I just had put on. I figure the labor cost me $300, but, if something went wrong, and it did (small brake leak), he would have to fix it and I would be scratching my head. Wish I had at least tried it myself, but it is done, and I love the finished product. Most everything else I have done myself, though, just not the bars.
