I have a 2007 RKC and I'm wanting to add the Bassani power curve true duels and the Forcewinder breather. ( just a foundation for the future ) I'm looking into getting the Thundermax w/ auto tune, however, there are some questions I have. I've already done the search thing, tried several different web sites, and still have questions. 1. Does the thundermax come with preinstalled map? 2. From what I have gathered in searching, it replaces the stock hd. ecm, true or not? I know a seller will tell you whatever you want to hear to get the sell, but, 3. how does this product work in the world we all ride in?
I don't have a TMax, but I do have a DTT which is similar.
1) MAPs come on a CD and newer ones are available for download on the ThunderHeart & Zippers websites. Since the unit tunes itself in, you just need to start out "close".
2) It is an caompete replacement.
3) I have read that most are happy with the results.
I can tell you that I am happy with the results of the Daytona TwinTec TCFI-IID that is a similar unit.

i have the tmax:
1. no
2. yes. i was worried about this, but it has only made my bike more stable, and the gauges more accurate. hell some of them didnt even work before the switchout.
3. i have it on my bike, and it is like a brand new machine. no more spitting, sputtering, surging, decel popping, etc. but most importantly, NO MORE DYNO TUNING!!! my bike is a beast now after install. and i dont sell them.
I'm thinking I'll go the T-Max route as well, but have been reading more and more about good results with the DTT. How do they compare? Is the price comparable?
