Exactly as I explained. You have an 08 so your fine 09+ not a good idea.

I didn't want to be this harsh but since you've opened the door you're right. There's tons of threads on it it's a total piece of junk.

Some of the '09's (like mine) still had the '06A Compensator. As long as that one is on there the Hayden will give you the 3/8" gap between the shoe and the bracket. The later Compensators were slightly larger and reduced the gap to 1/4" and started the issues referred to in past threads.

I installed mine 3 years ago and it works perfectly. Don't know why a lot of you are having problems. Mine installed exactly to specs without shimming. Of course I did the work myself so I didn't rely on the stealer to say its all setup right. Has been functioning great without much wear.

I installed the baker attitude and it it's perfectly quiet in the primary. Read reviews on the Hayden and went with the Baker. Just know that it's a manual adjuster which I'm fine with. My chain was always very tight with the stock adjuster

I also installed the screaming eagle compensator at the same time. So I don't have the original stock one.

The old ones were a little too tight because of the springs. The newer ones work great. The trouble with the stock tensioner is it only gets tighter, and will not loosen up.

08 here with the SE compensator. Tried the origional Hayden spring set up and there new revised spring set up. Both had the same outcome that led to the chain slap issues stated before and the "thats close enuff" response from tech support.

Sorry, I missed that.

I have a '12 Limited. I thought I'd get a Hayden as a preventative measure since I read the OEM can over tighten the chain.

I had a Hayden with with the new springs, and the chain seemed way too tight.... I didn't even button up the primary. I took it right out.

The OEM was fine when I removed it, so I put it back in.

If I do anything in the primary in the future, I'll go with Baker components.....
