I totally agree. I still have one younger son and between summer sports and just going places with family and things that have to get done it does not allow as much riding time as we would like. I drive a company vehicle to work every day so riding to work is not an option for me either.

I have a 26' garage and put mine on the jack and roll it against the back wall and my wife can pull her car in and has plenty of room. I only park my car inside during the winter otherwise it sits outside. If really wanting something a little smaller, one of the smaller Softails would be great or find a way to move the bike around easier in the garage and keep the RK.

You already answered your own question. This does not describe your Road King.

I got nothing. If I want to ride, I just move the car and roll the King out. Not a big deal.
Sounds like you just want a little bike, so go get one. Maybe a used Yamaha FJR...

My 2003 Road King is my daily driver for about 10 months out of the year, from going to get milk to commuting to work. I moved up from a smaller metric and I can honestly say the King is both a great "around town" bike as well as a great long distance one. Personally I would keep it and just get on the thing whenever you have an excuse to go somewhere.

I work from home 4 days a week. I still find time to put miles on my Hog. You have to have some "You" time. Even if you get a smaller bike, you have to make time for yourself to go ride it.

You might consider a standard/Naked bike. Ever thought of getting a FZ-09, BMW R1200R, KTM 1290 Superduke, Aprilia Tuono, the list can go on and on. Maybe the New honda Africa Twin that is coming out.

Well if you want standard cruise control there arent that many that have it except BMW

Plus, it's easy to get up and go whenever I feel like riding, whether it be the back road to get some smokes and cokes, or down to St. Augustine or Daytona or whatever. A 20 minute long way ride to the store works wonders when I want to clear my head.

I wish it would quit raining every damn day though.
Yeah what the hell with the friggin rain? 20 years ago it used to rain around 2:00 for half an hour now it waits until after quitting time and rains for hours!

1 car in the garage,('ol Lady's), my SUV in the driveway, my King in the garage so I can get it out any time. I will never get rid of my King, I would get rid of crap that I haven't used in six months to make room if I had to.

Keep the King, your life will change as all of ours do and you will get the chance to do the distance riding. A lot of times lately I wander aimlessly draining a tank of gas in a day, good mental health medicine!
