Ill second that SoCal-Pappy, I put a set on mt Ultra about a month ago, and so far at 85 degrees in town riding, I dont have red marks or heat rash on my backside. They are made of black powder coated aluminum with a pleather outer serface. A little pricey. I would think they would be a little discount for members here. Not the case on mine.
I put Kuryakyn saddle shields(smoked)on my 05 RK Classic because the look good. Put the on my 07 Ultra Classic for the same reason and as a side benifit the seem to keep the heat of my leg.
One would think they would address the cause and not the result. Let's get some cooling to that stock engine! We'll see some "flaming" posts on the heat subject when the weather warms-up.
Looks Clean and they say the fit is RIGHT ON THE MONEY!!!
Another happy customer here, It's starting to get hot here in Northern VA, and I can tell these things are going to make the summer riding better than last year.
spend your $ wisely go with http://www.rjsoriginals.com/ you won't be sorry!!!!!!!!! i'm not and it's been 9 months and 8500 miles since i installed them on my 07' ultra and my thighs are very satisfied!!!!!!!! thanx rj.
I bought a set of Kuryakyn's at Laughlin this last weekend, the salesmen said they were flying off the shelf. I question the material they are made of, wonder if they will warp etc.
And MOCO say there is no heat issue?????????
