Default I.D. This Accessory Please

Hey fella's,
I'm wondering if any one can identify this accessory on my 2007 Road King Classic FI.
I bought the bike used and it came already on it.
I've been riding the bike now for 2.5 years with this "thing" on it and would like to know what the hell it is.
Only has several wires from it, 3 going into a wiring sheath, then under the tank controls trim plate to the battery and a couple more to the volume controller.
Has one small cable connector with what I thought may have bee headphone hook up.
I tried some headphone I have with a small enough jack plug to fit, but nothing to it.
If it has no purpose I'd like to remove it.
If it needs other parts to work, I'd weigh out if it's fiscally reasonable to buy them and use it.
I've included several pics of it and any help in a positive ID would much appreciated.

That looks like a small amplifier.

An Amplifier or volume Booster?

Try unplugging it at the volume control while the radio is on fairly loud, to see if there is any difference in volume.

Looks like the Harley Boom audio amplifier. Plug your MP3 player into the jack. Amplifies the signal and drives speakers mounted on the handlebars. Includes the handlebar-mounted volume/mute control.

Do you have the speakers on the handlebars or on the windshield?

Hmm, interesting, a Boom amplifier box eh?

No speakers on the handle bars, do have speakers in the Hoppe Quadzilla, would those qualify to work with this?
I can't really see where they're wired into this boom amplifier, if they even are is doubtful.
The bike has been thru 2 owners before me and I suspect that this may have been part of the first owners accessory package.

Thanks for the information r1cochet.

I'm gonna monkey around with it a bit and see what it'l doo, if anything.
If not, I'll prolly put it up for sale in the want ads here or on CL or fle-bay.
Thanks again.

Thanks johnson27,
that is exactly what it is,minus the windshield speakers.
Seems pretty useless without the speakers and I've already got a nice steroe Quadzilla, so i'll be putting it up for sale here and on CL and on fle-bay soon.
Thanks again Brother, that confirmed the kill, it is a Boom Audio system, without the speakers.

BTW, I just put one of the tach/speedo's on my King and I love it.
Hardest part of the install is trying to figger out what colors won't clash my Suedebluepearl paint......... L O L

That looks like a black box that sends out a becon if you get lost over the ocean, not a very popular accessory.
