I'm looking for the HD Skull levers for my 2005 Ultra Classic. I see there are 2 versions made, 46982-07 and 46982-08. The first says it will fit my bike, the second says it won't. I'm thinking either one will work fine, but I thought I would ask if anyone has any direct experience with them working when they say they won't. The -08 version seems to be a little easier to find right now then the -07 version..........so I want to make sure they will work before buying.
And of course, if you have a set sitting around and want to move them along..........send me a message.
the big thing to watch out for on your levers is the clutch lever has a 'tang' that will depress the neutral interlock switch that was introduced in 2007. also, the part of the lever up by the pivot point is squared off on the older versions, but rounded on the newer ones.
Got the black levers in the mail yesterday and installed them, they look OK......I think they will grow on me.
I'm so used to chrome levers for the past 10 years, it's going to take some time to get used to the black levers.
