Links aren't working man. If it's what I think it is (a V-Rod based Road Glide touring deal from Cycle Visions) I like them. I actually thought about going this route instead of my new RG I bought. The only thing that really kept me away was the V-Rod doesn't fit me better than the Road Glide, and that most V-Rods come with that tiny gas tank. In order to make the cost come out equal (that kit is pretty expensive when you add it all up), I would have had to buy a 3 or 4 year old V-Rod. It just didn't make sense for me. But they are sweet looking in my opinion.
Still waiting. Was supposed to ship 4/1. Turns out that was a big April Fools joke. Strike resulted in a month delay. New ship date is 5/2, should be in the barn by 5/12. The part that really sucks is I am getting snipped on 5/11! Hopefully I'll be feeling good enough to start putting parts on later that weekend. Bart has a big box of stuff for me that should be here sometime next week or early the following week. My goal is to get as much of the new stuff on it as I can by the 18th. My Dad and I make an annual trip to Florence, OR for the Rhody festival. I was hoping to have some miles on it before we took off for a couple hundred miles, but I don't think "the boys" are going to be up for riding before the 18th. Oh well, going to do the 30mph to 60mph and repeat 10 times break in, then head for the beach.
I think the Cycle Visions setup is pretty cool myself, but it's not something I would personally own.
I think there must be a lot of otherpeople who feel the same as me however, a local dealer built a brand new V-Rod with this entire setup & put it on their showroom floor. The thing is beautiful, it is all black & chrome & looks awesome.
The problem is, it is going on 2 years now it has been for sale with no takers. I don't remember the price, but it was not unreasonable.
I think we will see the Road Rod as a CVO SE version here shortly. HD needs to introduce the water system into the touring bikes somewhere. Look at their history. They tend to introduce the new cool stuff on the lesser selling models. Ever notice that the Dyna's always get the new stuff first? They sell way more Softails than Dyna's. The RG is the lesser selling bike in the touring family. HeyI own one so I'm not knocking it just pointing out HD history. Now on that note I haven't formed an opinion on weather it will be just like the Cycle Visionssetup or the V-Rod motor in a touring frame. As stated above the V-Rod platform is a little small for what tends to be bigger touring bike riders.

I wonder how much of that is the area and the dealer pushing the product. Why is it some dealers sell tons of V-Rods and Buells where others have two plus year old inventory. Sales, Sales, Sales.
Snap a few pictures of that bike the next time your in there!
