I rarely wash mine period but I dowipe it down BEFORE every ride unless I'm just going to ride for a few minutes and it's not that dirty. My bike is 4 years old and I bet I have washed it with water maybe 5-6 times and only because I rode in the rain. But I always use a quick detailer of some sort to 'spiff' it up. I think it should be against the law to ride a dirty HOG! Not really, but I want mine looking it's best so people go "OOOOOO".....lol.......
BTW, be careful with water when washing. Water has a tendency to get into places it shouldn't and do weird things to wiring and such. Ride safe........
I didn't vote because there is no choice that applies to me. I rarely ever wash my bike. Maybe twice a year, it even that. Usually, it ends up at the dealership for something or other and they wash it. I'm too lazy and ride too much to worry about it.
Mine is cleaned after every ride. I only wash it after riding in rain or when it gets really dusty. For daily cleaning I use Cycle Care # 33. For washing I use pure hot water only. No soap, towel(cotton) dry.
I voted for once a month, but it's really more like 5 or 6 times a year- and then only as an excuse to get up close and personal with basic maintenance stuff like spokes, belt adjustment, etc. I hate washing bikes (and cars, much to my wife's annoyance).
