Going Geezer Glide
While at sturgis I developed I
A rattle coming from either the lower end or the heat shield. Crap like that makes me crazy . I'm running Rush Hi performance pipes with Crusher Mellow mufflers. The clearances between the case and brake pedal are pretty tight. When you get that just right the heat shield try's to rub against the pipe under the bike. I adjusted it about 10 times and would think I had it but I kept getting the rattle sound. I started to think maybe I had a bad muffler rattling. So this morning I pulled off all my heat shields and put on my stock pipes. First of all no rattle. But also I was amazed at how nice and quiet it was. The music sounded great.
I'm thinking about keeping on my stock mufflers and Geezering it for a while .

My wife and I were out today and stopped at a red light , one of those rice burners pulled up next to us, when he took off my wife said his bike sounded like a fly passing through, I started laughing.
