2005 ultra
last weekend I did the rear swing arm isolators , witch made a bike diff in the rear end wobble thru the turns , this week end I did the front motor mount and it has a new vibration , not to bad as to distort the mirrors but enough to feel in the foot boards and the bars , the new mount was stiffer than the soft one I removed , not broken or tore but changed it any way , will this new hard mount break in after some miles ?? or should I just put the old one back in and keep this new one for a spare??
It will probably break in a little over time. Don't over tighten the mount bolt and locknut down through the middle. Over tightening it will transfer more vibration to the frame.
I just changed mine last week, latest mount definately transfers more vibration, mostly at idle, I don't believe it will "break in", also the mount should be torqued correctly as too loose will let mount move on center bolt defeating its original purpose. I am not a fan of this latest mount, may order "Glide Pro" mount as it seems to get better reviews.

only went like 22ft lbs ,, book called for 45 , so I should be good there.
If it doesn't soften up to your liking, get the Glide Pro front mount. It will really smooth it out.
Ordered Glide Pro this afternoon, rode another 125 miles tonight, I can actually say that my handlebars only vibrate about 1/2 what they did 400 miles ago when it was first installed, I think I scared it😀.

The mount may not be centered correctly. Loosen somewhat the 2 outer nuts, where the mount mounts to the frame, then ride a mile or 2, shut down then tighten them back up. The mount may be on a bind which would transfer vibration.
