Default Ok Help

2008 street glide. Bought used a few months ago, have had no problems until now. The security system 😡😡. Neither fob works all of the sudden, I would assume both batteries didn't go bad at the same time but I will rule that out tomorrow, But I've searched and read on here and tried everything I've found, the ignition on and off deal and left blinker twice and right once in 2 seconds. Nothing. Tried to use all 1s and all 7s and nothing. He didn't have the Manual so I'm outta luck on That. Any suggestions on how to disable it if I can't get the fobs to work ?

The batteries were most likely installed at the same time, might go bad at the same time. DUH! Start with the cheap route first, then go from there!

.................. if you can disable the alarm manually then the FOB's are likely the problem.

I'd replace the batteries in the fobs before I try anything else! JR

I have a 2010 Electrical Diagnostic manual and it states there are 2 ways to disarm the Security system:
1 Hands Free with the FOB
2: Using the pin

31313 is the code HD puts in the bike at the factory. If the previous owner didn't change it you may be in luck.
If he did change it A HD Shop may be able to read the PIN with the DigiTech.

Do your FOBs have buttons? Next to the bike push the button twice quickly to disarm the system.

In the troubleshooting section it say's if the fobs button has been pressed numerous times it may fall out of sync with the TSSM. If this happens press and hold the fob button for 10 -15 seconds until the security system responds with 2 turn signal flashes.

Good Luck

this info is for the 2006 and older fob that have buttons. 2007 and newer use the proximity fob, and have no buttons. also, that default is no longer valid either. seems the security is activated by the dealer during pdi and there are a multitude of 'defaults'. some use all ones, others the last 5 of the vin, etc.

but all is not lost. first try the simple stuff, replace your batteries. and make sure that they are put in the fob oriented correctly. very common to put them in upside down.

if the security recognizes the fob and allows you to start the bike, then you'll be able to retrieve and reset your code. to do this:

turn your ignition on-off-on-off-on
immediately press left turn signal 2x
then right turn signal once

your existing code will now be displayed in the odometer window. to change it, just cycle through the digits 1-9 using your left turn signal switch, and enter it with your right. once you've changed all the numbers, just turn the ignition off.

Thank you. I'm headed to get batteries after church. Hopefully I can get this figured out I'm just glad I'm at home and not on a ride somewhere. Thank all of you for your help. I will update the verdict when I get one

.
The 2010 manual covers the FOB with the buttons in several procedures. In the same manual they used 31313 as the example for unlocking the system.
Just trying to help

its all good. I think some folks are here just to give smartass comments to questions..... though some are just totally set up for that

the button fobs referenced are the tssm, which are hdi versions. the hfsm (hands free security module) is the domestic version. I didn't know that they still used the button fobs (though I didn't really even think about it), learn something new everyday

Thanks for the info. I just went and checked/changed the pin.
I did take the fob into the house and checked starting with just the pin number. It worked whoo hoo
