Looks like the changes are small. Good to see a Road Glide Ultra with water cooled heads, the new Fat Boy should spark Fat Boy sales and the tire pressure system on the CVO touring bikes. Actually, less changes than I predicted, wrong again.

A TPMS, cruise control on the Softails and the use of a 110" motor that's been around a while on certain models.

A count down counter and "Something Big"?????????

I'd settle for making the parts on existing models that tend to fail with a better design and quality. Now you can check the tires without using a gauge and laying on your back but the basics like having a shift lever not fall off or a compensator that needs R&Red withing 20K miles isn't addressed.

I like my Harleys but if anyone at HD EVER read these forums or wanted to know what some riders think (I may be the only one) I'd say this; get the motorcycle part of the bikes as flawless as you can FIRST, then concentrate on the "extras".

I put on around 15k on in 6 months and so it is nice to keep an eye on tire pressures without all the fuss.

There are a bunch of them now you can add to a bike for about $80
Or you could get the colored valve stem caps that change when the pressure drops from Walmart for super cheap. Just an idea

Tire Pressure Monitoring System vs Throttle Position Sensor

Would not be so bad but they come on around a 3# loss. Just a screen to show what the pressures are would be ok, but I have seen them be off by 4-5 #'s so could you trust them?

i know the owner's manual for my car says not to use them exclusively, only to give you an idea of 'change'. for accurate tire pressures, use a gauge.

I have not see them but I have seen a number of other systems but none give you the rider a real time readout while riding.
It is pretty interesting that a tire running at say 20 PSI on the track and 32 on the street have the same pressure while riding after they warm up..

Just kind of a relief when you can see that that odd feeling going down the road is not a soft tire..

I was resisting that TPMS/TPS thing... Most techs see TPS and think "Throttle Position Sensor" does HD use TPS for the TPMS reference?

I've had TPMS on my last 3 cars, it's great. I'm shocked to see people in the touring section, complain about extra electronics. It's a touring bike for Christmas sake...

Seriously, you leave your valve caps on long enough to weld on. I would think that if you check you tire pressures with any regularity you would never have that issue.
