hello, i have the MP3 player on my 06 sg , when i first installed it I was diassapointed the sound quality was good but the volume sucked. I then installed hogtunes and now have just installed the amp from Pez , I'm a happy camper now the sound on the MP3 player wont be the same but after upgrades it actully can be used over 65 MPH. Its worth the money if you want your bike to have the factory look

mbmike, if the volume from your mp3 player is lower than your radio/cd at the same setting, change the setting of the a/b switch located under the rear cover.

I too have the HD MP3 Player and have been happy with it except I have to run my radio volume at full in order to hear it. It only came with a 64 meg chip but a quick trip to Best Buy and $30 got me a 2 gig chip.

I have a 15Gb iPod, with about 1300 songs loaded. They make a device that plugs into othe cigarette lighter on my FLHTCI (and doesn't hit the frame when making a full left turn) that charges the iPod while I ride.

The device runs the iPod through the FM with a selection of three (usually unused) channels. You select the channel on the device and then tune your FM radio to the same channel. This way you don't waste the charge on the iPod and you can use your FM radio for volume, etc.

I've got three pouch fairing pouch on my bike. The channel selector goes in the left pouch, the iPod in the center pouch. Works great and the device only cost about $35.00.

It allows you to take the iPod off the bike and use it wherever, which you can't do with the H-D version.

Question - Rear cover? Do you have to remove the fairing?

The A/B switch is inside the MP3 player. remove the back half of the unit and it is on the lower, inside on the back of the front half.
