Ron,

I went in and cleared all the subscriptions that you had clicked on so you should not get any emails except when you get a PM (you checked that box too). If you were having problems with the forum all you had to do was ask a Mod or Admin. You came on this forum with a problem with your Roadglide. I remember your first post because I too ride a Roadglide. I hope you got the answer you were looking for.

I discovered this site about 2 wks ago. Big mistake. I am getting all of this needless crap in my email that I can't believe. Sorry, but what I see is sad. Some guy wants to know what kind of oil to use. Give me a break!! Others want to know what air pressure to use. Another wants to know if he can put slipons on his 07 and wants to know if he can just have it remaped on the puter or knock the baffels out. I am sure most don't know that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. They need to give people an intellingence test before they sell them a Harley. But then again, sales would probably fall. Harley has been diluted. Used to be the hard core biker, now just the weekender. Ever hear of the OWNERS MANUAL? Gosh, that could provide some info. Most need to ride a rice burner. Something they can relate to. I guess most of you can go to the local "harley" shop and buy some harley clothes. That should make you a real "biker". LOL. Better go to Starbucks and meet your buddys. LOL

Takes all kinds I guess . I too have discovered this site a few weeks ago and find it great with lots of good advise .. been riding for over 25 years and wish this kind of info was available back then ;-))
I host my own forum and if this guys would have come on with his previous post .. I just would have ejected him right there .. as you guys said .. we all have a choice on what we read or dont .. and when you sign up .. ya just need to read the small print and check what you want and what you dont ..

Are you talking about questions like this?

I want a little louder pipes than stock, but not too loud. got any suggestions. I heard that to put any slipons on, you have to put a new inigition box on to keep the factory warranty in effect. Talk to me.

By the way that was your question.

I remember when I first came across this forum, I was having troubles and was amazed at allof the info here to be had. I did not register for a while but when I did I could not believe what was here.

It took me a while to figure things but after hanging in there the search tab proved to be my friend. I too receive to much e-mail because I seem to subscribe to it all because I am interested in it all! Then I'll realize that I just can't keep up so I go and uncheck my subscriptions. I will cycle like this over and over!!

Thisforumlike anything else is a choice and when we grow up we realize that there is nobody else to blame but ourselves for the choiceswe make. If you don't like something you have the ability to change it, but for some they marvel in the unhappiness. I know this because I used to be unhappy! Guess what I made a choice a few years back and now I am happy.

It is everyones right to ride, I could care less who they are Ithink it is fascinating all of the personalities out there. I think sometime people find this place and just test the waters. If someone doesn't know then asking proves that they are intelligent enough to ask, for me that is better and smarter than doing it wrong IMO. I will agree that reading the directions is a mustbut they can be frustrating some times even the simple ones!

I think those that you don't like you can just block, or can't you?
HMMMMMM, I guess I can start a thread on thisor maybe I'll just look at the rules or maybe I can use the search? So many choices!!! Any suggestions?

Seeing how roleson brought it up...

Can you put slipons on an 07 and then get it remapped?

Yep the same questions are asked over and over, thats because every one who buys a new bike or is new to harley has questions they'd like to have answered..we all come here excited with out new bikes and a million questions we'd like answered, so excited we don't do the searches that will usually yeild the answers we're seeking. most folks are very understanding, but there's always somebody who'll let you know in short order that you should have used the search feature so you wouldn't be asking the same dumbass questions that they already had asked and had answered. Don't worry about it, ask away, a lot of nice people on here. Congratulations on the new bike

This was one of your questions,

"I wanta little louder pipes than stock, but not too loud. got any suggestions. I heard that to put any slipons on, you have to put a new inigition box on tokeep thefactory warranty in effect. Talk to me."

Hope you got your answer. Sounds simple to me. Don't comeinto a forum and start insulting peoples intelligence. You don't know anyone here. To me your question is quite simple however you chose to ask it here. A little common sence goes a long way. There are no dumb questions here only dumb people with attitudes who like to hide behind a keyboard. So lighten up andenjoy the information that is here and if it bothers you that muchthen that tois a simple answer, "leave".
