Default Performance Machine

I purchased a new contrast cut Performance Machine windshield trim when I put on a new windshield. The edge of the black portion is already starting to flake off. Does anyone else have any experience wit PM stuff? Any issues? I was trying to add a little something to break things up a bit. I had been using the Harley slotted trim, which is a much heavier product.

I have the Arlen Ness windshield trim - but I also have several PM products - no problems.
Contact PM and see what they'll do for you, they seem like a stand up company.

Definitely contact them. They will stand behind their products and correct the issue.

I've tried some Performance Machine stuff and have not been impressed. The chrome on the windshield trim I had began to flake. Just haven't been that impressed overall.

For what you pay for PM products, you shouldn't have these issue's. As they surely are very proud of their products, as show by their prices. Wish you luck.

as I mentioned in another thread about PM, their coatings, whatever they are, are crap. Nice looking, well engineered, but covered with crap!

Got an email from PM. They said their black parts are mostly anodized to avoid such issues and that the anodizing is better than powder. I was told that I would have to go back to where I bought the product and send it back to them for a credit then another part can be ordered to replace it. I don't have that kind of time nor do I want to pay double shipping for a 70.00 part. Live and Learn!

I'm thinking that is not very good customer service. You should be able to deal with them directly, no matter where you bought it. That's some info that I will have to keep in mind.
