Default Harley Tall Boy seats

Is anyone rolling with a tall boy seat? I went to a dealer event over the weekend and had one of the sales person put the demo seat on my bike to see how it felt. It actually feels like it would work great. I did not have time to run around with it (should have done that), but how is that seat out on the road for distance?

Anyone using another brand of tall boy seats for their bike?

I've put about 42,000 miles on my Tallboy seat and love it. I am 6'1" and about 215 and find it to be very comfortable. It is essentially a Sundowner that moves the rider back 2 inches. Be forewarned though--the 2 inches it gives you it takes away from your passenger (since the seat attachment point is fixed). My wife is petite, so that's not an issue for me, but you may want to consider that.

My wife does not and probably never will ride with me. she is afraid of motorcycles. I am considering a solo saddle too. I have a 15 road glide and the bars and fairing are pushed back towards the rider.

I have about 26k on mine to include an iron butt. I am 6'3" and 210. It is a good seat, but I will eventually send it off to get some upgrades done to make it a great seat.

I will get the front narrowed a bit and some gel added to both seat portions. also I will have it dropped down a bit more. My back is jacked up and I prefer to sit as low as possible.

I think for the money you could get your factory seat modified to be more comfortable and sit the same way, but if you do not have a second seat already or are not able to park your bike for a couple weeks then I wouldn't hesitate to buy the tall boy seat.

I though it was a good seat until I rode 600miles on one trip. Tail bone was sore and hot spots changed my mind. I just shipped mine off to Mean City Cycles to get an overhaul. It sets you back, but also felt like it raises you up as well. Every person is different though. 6'4 here.

I had the Tall Boy on my 2010...it was ok to start, but then started to hurt my tail bone and pressure points sent me off to buy a Mustang Super Tourer which was better for awhile as well...I do still have the Tall Boy as well as the Mustang, laying around if interested...

I am starting to like my Tallboy seat more since it has gotten broke in. In the event I still need relief I pull my Airhawk out of the saddlebag. I haven't had to that once this year.

if you have part number 52009-09A then we may be able to make a deal. I was thinking about modifying the stock seat to meet my needs. I think all they did to make the tall boy seat is trim some of the cushion out to move it back and modifed the cover.

I think it depends on the year and model. I have a 15 ultra and was told the seat pan is not conducive to moving back without raising the seating position.
