OK, so 2008 and newer bikes have an awesome luggage rack called the stealth luggage rack.
I have a 2006 and want the same rack or something close. I want the quick release option, because I already have the hardware, so I am looking to find the rack.
Does anyone know who might make one at least close to it??
Two separate pieces are issulstrated in your pic. The sissy bar is detatchable, the rack is not. If you want a rack on the detatchable sissy bar there's this: [url="http://www.amazon.com/Motherwell-Backrest-2000-2010-Davidson-Sportster/dp/B000VVUF0S/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1443519329&sr=8-4&keywords=harley+2006+detachable+luggage+rack. The luggage rack you pictured replaces the hoop. http://www.amazon.com/Stealth-Luggage-Harley-Electra-Street/dp/B00F2RQJ92/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1443519329&sr=8-2&keywords=harley+2006+detachable+luggage+rack
All I have been able to locate is the 2008 and up. I will look again...I thought I was going nuts.
Just plain John: They make them detachable as well. I already have the backrest and want the rack itself as detachable. Even if it isn't the exact one, if I could find something similar I would be content...

The HD stealth rack fits 2009 and later ( frame change in 2009). For 2008 and earlier, due to the horseshoe bar, it is different. TMS sells a rigid stealth rack that replaces the horseshoe with a new bar with rack built in to it. Go to Amazon and search "TMS rigid stealth luggage rack". $59.91 plus shipping. For comparison, the detachable stealth rack from HD for '09 later is $299.95.
The pic you posted appears to be the rigid mount.

Thank you, I saw that one, I was just hoping I would be able to locate a quick detach....I only need it a couple times a year...oh well...maybe it just wasn't meant to be...haha
My 07 has a combination luggage rack/rear back rest that is quick detach. It is a HD piece. It came as part of an essentials kit which included a cover for the bike and a belt buckle. I'm sorry I don't have a part number for it but I'm sure someone with an older P&A catalog would be able to get you the part numbers. I rarely use mine since getting a tour pak but it is very handy.
