Default FM maps

Hi guys,

I just ordered the V&H Power Dual Headers for my 2012 SG. I'm running a SE Air Cleaners and CFR mufflers.

Yesterday I had a conversation with Bob from FuelMoto (really nice guy). Anyway, he said when I order the PV, they'll install a map based on my applications. He did warn about the loss in torque with the CFR's and also said that if I'm not happy with the map, I can fine tune it.

For someone who's never tuned a bike and still grasping this, how challenging is fine tuning a pre-installed map? Quite honestly, I won't even know what to adjust and how much to adjust.

What are the guidelines for making any adjustments? I hope this makes sense because clearly, I have no clue what I'm talking about... Hope I don't blow up the bike. lol

The PV has an AutoTune feature that does all of this for you. All you do is ride and let it do its thing. It's not 100% perfect but it gets you close. Several videos on DynoJets website covering the features of the PV. Find the one covering the AutoTune feature and it'll explain the steps to AutoTuning.

Thanks guys. Tuning really makes me nervous because I don't fully get it, yet. I don't want anything to go wrong.

I'm sure once I get the device (and it stops raining for more than a few hours) and I get to ride the bike, it'll start making sense.

On another Note, a buddy bought a Commander V from someone on Ebay. He said that he downloaded a map and hooked it to his bike and that his bike runs better. He said that he didn't have to buy another license. Is he BS'ing me? I'm under the assumption that his Commander V won't tune his bike because its already married to another bike. What say you?

The PCV doesn't marry to the bike like the PV does. It's just a piggy back tuner that can be used over and over again.

Ur making it out to be more then it is fuel moto is the best once they ship it the tune will be all u need plug it in and click download and bam it's done...if it don't run good then u will have to play with some auto tuning but fuel moto is good that bike should run perfect the second u install the tuner ...it will take seconds piece of cake...there maps are near perfect ...and so u know u can add the power vision to a second bike for 199$$ so if u have 3 bikes that tuner will do all 3 just 199$ each bike

It's not necessary but it is helpful to have a Windows computer to be able to look at and review your tunes using a Windows program called WinPV that will come with the unit.

This is how you do Autotunes.

If you think you've screwed it up, just take it to a shop that will dyno it for you.

Thanks for the sound and useful advice. If I run into any issues, I'll reach out to him.
