You might have to do the update. I think it's 1.19.1

I guess Harley should start offering a "radio delete" option for those that don't ever use it.

14 Limited, latest update 1.19.1, never wait for any light to go out or for radio to boot up. Usually I have the radio off. Most times when I start the bike the radio will remain off and the clock will be shown. Occasionally the radio will come on when I start the bike (even though it was off when I shut the bike off) and I have to hit the accept button before I can press and hold the mute/power button to be able to turn the radio off. I have used the radio and shut the bike down with the radio on only to find that sometimes when I restarted the bike the radio would be off. The radio has a mind of it's own and has acted this way for the last two years. I have not noticed any change with respect to the on/off action of the radio using several different updates.

Radio/iPod will still automatically start to play, you just will not have any radio controls until you hit select.

I believe the only solution is to turn the volume all the way down, at least then you will not hear the radio every time you fire the bike up.

If that does not work, then adjust the radio output to work with head phones instead of your bike speakers.

Turn the ignition on and wait for the system to go through it's boot sequence, about 25 seconds, the clock (or last selection) will appear. Start and go.

It's the only thing that seems to work.
