Default LED Headlights

What are the two current choices for projector and reflector LED headlght for the rushmore Streetglides now?

The aftermarket ones, not the expensive HD stamped ones.

TruckLite Phase 7 is the OEM of the Daymaker Reflector

JW speaker 8700 Evo 2 is the OEM Daymaker

I initially installed the Trucklite Phase 7 - but switched it out for the JW Speaker 8700 Evo 2 - I personally like the JW one better on my 15' SGS

Actually, If I understand this correctly, the original JW Speaker Evo is the HD Daymaker projector. The Evo 2 is the newer (upgraded) version that JW Speaker put out after they mass produced the HD Daymaker last year and I've read that it's better than their original Evo/HD Daymaker even though all three look similar. From everything I'm reading, I understand the Evo 2 provides more horizontal lighting so you can see the sides of the road better. The beam is focused wider than the original Evo and Daymaker. Does anyone know about this comparison?

It seems like going with the JW Speaker Evo 2 is the way to go if you want the projector style light and for me, it would be worth the extra money and I'm also seeing the original JW Speaker Evo dropping in price right now. I'm personally adding the Fuel Moto LED bulb kit to my dual filament 2014 SG for $120 to see if I will like them first before I go with the Evo 2. I'll post a write up when after they are installed.

I was curious on the led bulb replacement also. I've tried this in the past and they just didn't work well at all in reflector housings. The diodes where to focused on 1 part of the housing and threw a weird light pattern.

Hopefully this has been changed. The truck lite is not much more than those bulbs so something to consider.

Disagree. The housing is specific to the led bulb, rather than the stock housing which was designed for incandescent bulbs. Lots of happy customers, myself included. I personally don't like the "fish eye" look of the projector headlights, but that's just me. Not too pricey either, as led headlights go. I got all 3 on ebay for $338 to my door. To each his own though.

That the TL Phase 7 is like a replacement led bulb in a stock housing. "I was curious on the led bulb replacement also. I've tried this in the past and they just didn't work well at all in reflector housings. " "The truck lite is not much more than those bulbs so something to consider."
