Default Gauges

Yes yes I know this is a touring area,
However some of you wrenches know about everything that's Harley.

Having said that, I bought a 2004 v rod, and everything was ok, then one day I went to jack it up and before it got 6" off the ground it fell over.

Well it landed on its pegs and a roll bar, so no facial damage was done. however now the gauges no longer work.

Please don't chastise me for letting it fall, but I am 64, and not as strong or fast as I once was.

Question is where do I look for the problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

I would check the wiring to make sure that shock of it hitting the floor didn't knock any of the wires off, or connections loose.

Have a look at the fuses too, might be one was either jarred loose or broken.

I would think the Vrod owners would be the most help because it's probably happened to somebody at sometime. But I agree, I would check all of the connectors hidden under any covers to make sure they are firmly seated. It's odd that all gauges stopped working all at once. Make sure wiring harnesses didn't get pinched in the fall. Something is loose or a fuse is blown or jarred loose during the tipover.
