I solved the problem by looping the cable up and back over the clamp-on assembly, then down, then secured it in that position with a black nylon cable tie. Works great.
I suppose for some it might be inconvenient because the cable will always be tied to the helmet. But that hasn't been a problem for the way we ride.

Did basically the same thing........Didnt loop the cable but I did use a zip tie to secure it to the boom mike.
No issues with it coming lose in over six months. Blue tooth is nice but I dont need something else to charge each night and the BT stuff doesn't seem to last much more than 8 hours.
I used Autocom for years - in fact still have my spare (brand new in the box) The company I had delt with for years was going out of business - bought the spare but never needed it... Autocom is one of the best out there
I will take a look at the zip-tie idea - thanks any pictures of what works for you?

For the little bit of trouble these HD sets give me I wouldn't trade them for Bluetooth is someone gave me a Bluetooth set. I have gone through Scala and Sena and it really sucks when the battery dies and you still have 3-4 more hours of riding left. Always having to worry about preserving the battery. Charging when you get it the hotel room. No thank you. Unless they come out with a set that can last 16 hrs I'm out.
My bluetooth headsets hold a charge for days. On a long weekend trip I will usually charge them at the beginning of the trip and still not be out of battery by the end of the trip. You must be streaming music or something.
