07 EG oil change ?

I am getting ready to do the 2nd oil on my07 EGS, dealer done the 1st free of charge. The manual cause for 3.5 qrts with filter but I had a friend who works on H-D as a second job tell me he puts 4 qrts in. From experience what do the most of you do?? Thanks Bull

I have the TC 88" but i can tell you it takes 4 quarts to fill it when i change the oil &filter. The 96" should be no different.

4 quarts....but add that last half quart very slowly or you'll have a mess.

Although it'll handle all 4 qts, you run more of a chance to blow some out the air cleaner adding the full 4 qts. I add just a bit over 3.5 qts and the dipstick shows 1/2 full at operating temps. I never have any blowby into the air cleaner that way. Remember, you're just adding oil to the reserve tank - 3.5 qts will cool and lube the engine just fine.
