I won this metric tool case a few years ago at a car show and never had a use for it. Finally I took the metic tools out and swaped in some standard stuff and now its in my saddlebag. I used it once when my shifter rod snapped.

Since you mention it, that make sense.

Thanks for your service.

I looked at those bottom-of-saddlebag tool pouches, but ended up going with the Windzone Essentials tool roll. Decided I didn't really like all the little bags.

Then I picked up a nice little tool bag off Amazon to put my Windzone tool roll in, along with a few other bits and pieces I added.

I use these with used tools I picked up from pawn shops. These hold a lot of tools and I am only using one side of the bags. The good part is that they fit the recesses of the saddlebag and take up no space.

If you don't want to spend the bucks, tools fit into athletic socks can be fit to those spaces too.

I bought the pouches from Innovative Storage Solutions as already illustrated and filled them with my own mix of tools.

I just made up my own small bag with minimum tools. I considered things that me or friends have had break or come off over the years and added the appropriate tools. It surprised me how few tools I actually needed to carry for a 13 UC.

I brought these bags when I was at Daytona a couple years ago. These are great! Not only do they hold my tools but I also carry a mini flashlight, air gauge and a few other things.

Only problem is that socks are going to wear through from vibration and the tools are going to be loose and rattling in the bottom of the saddlebag.

The bags above are tough cordura, they hold the tools securely, are custom fit and only cost about 60.00. If you get your tools used from a pawn shop you can get all you need for around 100 bags and all.

I used to have a 1980 Suzuki gs1100l that I rode daily for about 6 years from 2000 to 2006. It used to have this problem where the front sprocket would come off. One time I was cruising down the freeway with some English chick on the back and the sprocket came off. Safely as I could I pulled the bike over and was able to remove the covers and make the fix with with a Gerber multi tool. Took a few hours though.

On a more helpful note, buy a 5 gallon bucket organizer. Get the one from lowes for 10 bucks vs the one from Home Depot for 7. Way better pockets. Cut it in half. Then you will have two sides, each side will have pockets on both sides of it. You can hang them in your saddlebags that way or you can break them in half again. After cutting them again you will have two nice bags you can hang and two pocket tool rolls.
