Changed one on the '14 UL when the pump started getting louder when priming at around 50K. I can barely hear it prime now. It's a 20 minute job, one of the easiest maintenance tasks there is on a Harley. Easier than cleaning / reoiling an air filter.
I waited until 100K on my 14 Limited to change the fuel filter per the service manual. I wish I had taken a picture of it because it looked like it was covered in mud. With the new filter in place I even had better throttle response. I Would change the filter at least every 50K which means I'll need to change it again in about 4K miles.
