did a fall away test on my '07 flhtcu today. it all checked out okay.
but, when I start slowing down and lift both hands off the bars the front end wobbles really bad. when I'm sitting still on the bike and shake the bars (left & right) really fast I can feel the front wheel shakes also. but all is tight! what gives, any ideas??? thanks in advance.
If the front wheel is moving side to side when you sit on bike and shake the bars,I would be looking hard at the bearings. My next piece of advice is to stop taking yours hands off the bars when riding.
I would say wheel bearings too. I hate to say it, but yes, I've pulled my hands off the bars with the cruise control on just to see it everything was ok......straight as an arrow with no wobble.

Screw the fall away specs! I'm not sure how many swings your bike calls for but from my experience with my bike the factory spec is way too loose. My bike calls for 3 to 4 swings. I have it adjusted to 1.
Does your bike have cast or spoke wheels? If spokes make sure they are proper. Tap each and every one with a wrench or something. If you get a ting sound and if they are spokes you found your problem. Otherwise check as already suggested.
