Lots of resources out there for getting parts at a less than dealer price. Often peoples resouces are not noticed or some just don't know. I've use Jenni at Charlies HD (Formally Benjy's) in WV. Couple of reasons. 1) I get to talk to a humam. 2) 20 % off on purchases. 3) When talking with the human, it's obvious that she knows what she is doing if if she don't know, she will find out. 4) They are a authorized Mustang seat distributor.
Just putting this out cause the money I have saved is great. I thought this was a quiet secret but I've learned lots of people use her.
Back me up guys/gals.
If you don't use them list your source of HD parts.
Forgot to put the number in; Jenni Sapyta 304-523-1340, ask to speak to Jenni.
usually go with either chicago or zanoti's but have also tried surdyk, and maybe that one too. avoid ebay and shaky sites. would rather pay a few pennies more for a trusted site, imo. Really anything beats standing in line for ? hours at open house at the dealer to get 10% off and may have to come back to pick-up.
I always call Mark at mandmcycle. he has great service and prices on everything HD. I also call Brad at Rice Lake HD in Rice Lake Wisconsin. They are a Dead Center Cycole Fairing dealer and gave me a great price on a fairing. I used to call Mark for Kury also, but after buying a set of tires and Weld wheels from Bart (shooter64 on this forum) www.cateyecustoms.com I would call Bart first for most anything and give him forst crack. he is an all aroubnd good guy, fair prices and great service also. Now I can tell you that my local dealer, Hampton Roads HD gets a fair amount of my parts business andmost of my service businesstoo because they always have some kind of special and also have discounts EVERY Friday.
20% and tax free? I knew I should get a pt job at a dealer. I am off work Sat, Sun and Mon. I might be able to get some time to work between 5-10pm on Modays. Weekends are for the kids and the bike. LOL Actually, I was concidering applying for a sales job. Last weekend I sold a salesman on a new rk custom. I knew more about the bike than he did. I own a '05 rk custom and read this site every night, soI have picked up a bunch. What do they pay? What % of the sale will I get? Friends sayI could sell snow to an eskimo. Sold cars for a bit, was to slow to keep my interest. But the local Harley dealer has lookers all day long. I might check into it. Can you get any rebate on service?
That is why I have started hoarding money on the side. Just got to figure a way to getstuff paid forif I buy something online.Loacally I pay cash. In the bank acct and she would know, same for the cc's. [:@]I will figure it out.
