hattitude,
Just adding a few pics to your thread. Didn't want to start another J&S thread. I did this Strongway conversion a month ago. My jack is a dozen years old. The pump fit with the manual pump pointing in the original direction. I'm not sure if there was a design change but this worked for me. So far I am pleased with the upgrade.

What model was this reef or was it the same strongarm?
Ive been wanting to convert my J&S to air. Air is convient for me so why not. I wish i could find another way to bleed off the jack instead of the manual bleed valve. That is where the craftsman jack has it over the J&S. The Craftsman has a foot pedal operated bleed off. I would rather stand above the bike instead of having my head down working the release valve when the bike starts to come down.
Thanks hattitude for the post, went to Northern Tools and the jack was on sale for $54.99, I took parts off my J&S jack and swapped them making it air/hydraulic with the foot pump attached

Very good TJ. Never thought of the linkage being interchangeable with the new jack. Have to remedy that.
