Default Windshield Height

I'm looking for a windshield for long trips. I would like one that deflects the wind over my head or at least above the eyes. I'm about 5-9 on a good day. I was leaning towards a Klockwerks shield. Looking for any input you have to save me from buying to many just to find the right one. Thanks

Most Klockwerks dealers have a display stand, you can try before you buy. Go to their website to find a dealer near you.

Can you tell where the wind is going to hit from a display.

Sit on the bike. Using a laser pointing from eye level toward the front of the bile measure the distance from the windshield mount to the laser at the windshield. Buy a shield 2" lower.

I feel you on the pains of deciding which one to buy only to find it's not working... Been there. On my batwing I went with a couple different height shields using a short for around town switching to a taller for road trips. Kelanmotox out of Fresno Ca. At first skeptical about the quality but after running them, no worries. They also offer in both smoked and lightly tinted. Lightly tinted is my preference. Some may say they will vibrate at high speed because of the thickness. My response, that's BS! At least not up to their 8" shield. Price is in the $20-$30 dollar range each delivered.

If I was you I would Google how to measure for a windshield, lots of good info out there. The recurve design is nice because you can get a shorter windshield and still deflect the air over your head. Long Ride Shields is having a nice sale now.

I think the LRS are good shields ... you should be happy!
Which one did you order? And what height?

They have demos. They let you try them on your bike, same as most HD dealers have demo seats, you can go for a ride.
