How difficult to replace gauge backlight on Ultra?

You can do the all the gauges yourself. It's a simple process to replace tach and speedo as well.

Ya as well you can look for face plate gauges too and install them while your at it. If you prefer the custom look. Just reminds me of someones signature in here. Something like, " spend money wisely so you have more money to buy stuff "
Some of the prices some of the shops want to do this is pretty steep.

Why would you want bright lights on the gauges ?? It just effs up your night vision, smae as brigs dash lights in the car.

Depends on the light style you want. The face plate only lets so much light through.

Are the gauges "sealed" from the factory? Does opening them up cause possible fogging or water intrusion?

My fuel gauge fogs up sometimes when i bring the bike out of the hot garage into the cooler weather.
