There's also the fact that I hate money, so I try to get rid of it quickly whenever I get it ... Keith suffers from a common affliction

As far as a stabilizer is concerned on a 2009 or newer bagger, it really depends how you ride whether or not the difference will be noticed. If you ride fast and push you bagger (an extremely heavy bike with terrible stock suspension) you will most definitely notice a difference. If you just cruise it is unlikely to do anything for you.

I have stock motor mounts but upgraded rear shocks and front suspension and another stabilizer unit (much less expensive unit) and I immediately noticed a difference with the addition of the stabilizer.

Suspension was my very fist upgrade on this bagger. Stock air shocks rode like a sloppy drunk fat girl trying to get it on.

That being said, we are riding bikes that are designed for looks, not handling so they do have limits which are much more apparent than say a modern sport bike which is designed to ride and handle great at speed.

People fail to recognize the fact that not everyone rides the same and not everyone's skill level is anywhere near equal. My opinion is that upgrading suspension and adding a stabilizer is a great idea. I'm sure that the glide pro stuff will help as well but I am yet to get there. Funding is at a stand still right now.

I have a tendency to try to get rid of that cash quick as well as after all, you can't take it with you.

OP, you need to let us know what it is that you are looking for?
For comfort and ride-ability, suspension upgrade front and rear are mandatory.

Drew, good post.
Don't think a stabilizer would do much if anything though.

Funny how people whom don't run one always "think" this.

Hogpro/Lions/Brown-

I am more of a cruiser type. Occasionally will get the juices flowing on the twistees though.

Everything can always been improved. Most benefits from upgrades are easy to see, but this particular one eludes me. Hog is right, these are heavy bikes not meant for knee dragging. Hog - what brand did you choose?

I have Motorcycle Metal Ohlins in the rear (awesome, btw). Big improvement there with the rear shock upgrade. I am starting to wonder if I shouldn't replace the fronts in lieu of the stabilizer.

For motor mounts mine are still stock. For the stabilizer I got an Alloy Art touring frame stabilizer. Cost was not the only factor. The extremely simple install factored into my decision as well.

They also offer a different motor mount and I'm sure it si better than the stock one.

This is my first concern as I am a biker before I am a salesman.

Perspective two has to do with the fact that I am a salesman. I sell parts for Harley Davidson motorcycles in order to pay my bills. Sales guys get a bad rap everywhere and the fact is that most sales people don't know much about their product or use them, especially in this industry.

Thus you are welcome to take anything I say with a grain of salt. The fact is that parts such as are being discussed in this thread will work for some people and do nothing for others.
You've taken my query as an assault on your character and nothing could be further from what I was asking. I asked in regards to positive input that you might have regarding the product. Nothing more.
