I love my thunder header, I think the one on my Dyna was louder then my bagger, but I would not own any other exhaust. I had Vance and Hines, cause I listened to others, when It cracked I bought a thunder header, I should have just done that in the first place.
The thunderheader is ugly cool. At least it makes hp unlike a lot of systems out there that guys buy to sound good. I've never owned 1 but in my neck of the woods darn near every dyna I see has the th, high t-bars and the rider is wearing sneakers and has a back pack, LOL. At least you're puttin it on a bagger.
Yeah one thing I learned with my first bike is to be open to opinions and to take them into consideration, but to ultimately take your time and go with what you really want. That's one of the things I really love about Harleys. You can really make the bike yours and get to know it so well. I'm already enjoying getting the feel for the Road Glide. For a big bike it's incredibly nimble and balanced and I'm actually kinda surprised with the amount of pickup it has even just off the floor. I can tell I'm going to enjoy moving up to a bagger like this one.
I must be one lucky SOB. My Theader has been on my FLHX for 7 years and 53,000 miles with no problems at all. Yeah the chrome ain't the greatest but the sound can't be beat. I just picked up an RB LSR to give a try though.
Litter,
Thanks for the heads up. I have some time until I can afford the whole upgrade so I'm going to keep my eye on that as well as a few others.
Does anyone have a recommendation on dealing with being stuck with your bike being stock for awhile??
Move to a colder state and you won't be complaining about what to do until you get the cash to upgrade. Just saying...it was 12 degs F this morning out side
no way on God's green earth you will like the sound of a Supertrapp compared to a TH. I've run supertrapp's on my FXR and SG no better performance than any other 2-1 i ran and I've run them all pretty much . Nothing sounds like a TH.
I will be interested what azlou has to say concerning the diff between the TH and the RB LSR. I sold him the RB and I know what it sounded like on my bike, so his thoughts will be interesting, at least to me, LOL. Here is what my bike sounded like with the RB
Seems like the Freedom Performance True Duals are pretty good too. I don't really know much about them so I've been spending some time researching some more. Sounds really good and guys say the performance is solid too. Anyone run them?
