Battery Marts Big Crank is a VERY popular replacement. I was due and wanted to try another option this time went with this battery from Chrome battery. Can't beat the $78 price. Only have one season under it's belt so can't pitch longevity yet but so far no complaints. Fires up everytime. Bike is always on a tender when parked in garage though.
I had an Odyssey and got maybe 3 years out of it. Have an Interstate now but tired of fiddling with the weight and very inconvenient terminal connections. That being said my next battery will be lithium ion. They can now be had for close to the same price as an Odyssey.
What is this "Lithium ion" you are talking about? a link? Please Thanks
For a couple of you in this thread that have bought batteries where I see have 2013's in their sig line, why did your OE battery fail in so little time? Are they not tendered when sitting? Just curious as I'm still on the stock OE battery that came in my bike as bought new in Aug of '07.
My experience, such as it is, with batteries and their use and abuse involves Yuasa. We use em offshore, where I work, exclusively and they serve us well through countless discharges and re-charges holding up well under use and conditions for which they were never designed. Our Techs want nothing else.
When its time for a new Battery I'll go with Yuasa just because Its the one I know.
Price around local, too.
If a warranty issue develops, it will be easier and faster to deal with.
I got mine at a local Batteries Plus, with a TWO YEAR WARRANTY, honored at any one of their stores across the USA, and with the sale entered in their system, no receipt needed. Chit can happen out on the road too, you know.
Mine was a Duracell, on sale it was $110 I believe.
