Zenglide mentioned your location to wife-as we had friends who dubbed their house in the nc mts Shanconage- so as not to pry is it your special place or how did decide on that as location? Btw we also have 2012 Ultra Classic!
Leaf blower
So I washed the bike today for the first time since owning it. Normally do a quick detail spray in between rides but just decided to give it a deep scrub. So after washing it i dryed it thourghly and started it up to go for a ride. After about a minute at idle I noticed it smoking which I think was some of the water boiling off if ya will. Anyone experience this? Normal?

I have a friend that has one and it works really good!
Once the magic smoke gets out, it's time to trade in.
I haven't washed any of my last 4 Harleys. I use water on the back wheel, only because the grime gets thick, but other than that, I haven't turned a hose on any of mine in a lot of years

I'm reporting the OP to the San Diego County Water Police. Yes, there is such an agency to report your neighbor's water waste habits.
Last weekend with the heavy rain, I put the Harley in the driveway. Got out a bucket, scrub brush, soap...and my wife and I got nekid. Washed the bike, and we both came out squeaky clean.
