Default 2012 street glide

I am needing some help big time, so I took out the front end of my street glide and the forks are bent. I have removed them from the bike and have checked the triple tree doesn't look bent. I have gotten new forks to replace and put back in but them are not that easy to put back in am I needing any type of tool???

Are you talking about just replacing upper forks or replacing complete fork assembly? If it is just the uppers, there are How To threads on the forum showing step by step and what tools are needed.

The only special tools I had were the seal installer, socket for allen screw on the bottom of the slider and the one to check oil level .
If your talking about getting the fork tube plug screwed back in to the tube I used a clamp and it made the job very easy.Put the fork cap bolt in the plug then line everything up in the clamp, tighten the clamp until the plug is in the threads of the tube then as you tighten the plug the cap bolt will loosen but keeps everything in place. You can even turn the fork tube to screw into the plug.
good luck.

If you have bought a set of built forks, you may need to open the holes in the bottom tree, so the fork tubes can slide through. Remove the clamp bolts, that tighten up the holes, gently tap a suitable screw-driver in,leaving the hole clear. That will open up the hole a little, so the fork tube will slide through. Remove the screw-driver, replace the bolt and nip up, to hold the leg while you do the other one.
