Think I'm gonna clean up the front of my 15 SGS since I have a chrome wheel coming. I like the Arlen Ness Hot Legs, but dam, that's a lot of money. I already feel like I've fallen into the HD money trap with the money I've spent on this bike.
Hoping to save a little bit on this upgrade but don't want something that is gonna look bad in a couple years.
I was looking around on EBay and see a lot of polished and chrome options. Is one better than the other?
If you have purchased either style please let me know where you got it and your experience..such as finish, durability, price.
Thanks
I got the 3m headlight restoration kit and did this in about 2 hrs for both sliders. A 5 minute touch up about every 2 months shines them right back up using simi-chrome paste. No longer than it takes to polish the chrome ones and it cost a whopping $32 to accomplish. I'm just way too cheap to spend the big bucks when polishing is just as easy and way cheaper. And I did it without removing from the bike. All I needed was the kit and a 1/4" drill.
Next time you see a black bike ...with black lower legs .... Take a close look, they look like they have a greyish hue compared to the black gas tank. I have yet to see a nice set.
Well I finally got my bike done.
I ended up going with Arlen Ness Hot Legs after all. Chrome Enforcers, rotors, pulley and hardware. She is a happy girl and so am I.
Very nice legs AngelAir . Glad to see chrome amid all the other bikes. Now just gotta do the engine bolts. Welcome to the HD money pit...er I mean club.
