i have a 2003 ultra classic wint on a long ride and it got hotter thin its ever now its making a cherping noise dont want to tear in to it with out getting some feed back on what it might be
First of all....Welcome!! Chirping is a tough question as has been noted..Please give us more info on were said Chirping is coming from....I have chirping that comes from my 04 and once it cools down it stops....Good Luck....
Have you done a search??? https://www.hdforums.com/forum/searc...rchid=33344184
First try to locate the area that the chirp is coming from. My 99 had a head gasket go bad & chirped at start up. Found it when I washed the bike & started it up to pull it inside, saw the water spraying out at the bad spot. Use some wd40 or silicone spray on the rubber pieces that hold your exhaust towards the rear of the bags, if it goes away, it is there. Good luck
Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. Noises of any kind are difficult to hear over the internet! Having started chirpoing, does it continue to do it if you pull over and leave it running? If so get off and walk around, to see if you can identify where it's coming from. Better still get a buddy to join you, so there are two pairs of ears.
