This is baffling me as well. (The seller of this part) The bike it came off of is a friend of mines. An 08 street glide with a 96" all stock tb( as far as I know, he bought it used)
What is odd is he took my old air cleaner (from my 14' 103)and put it on the same bike this one came off of and no issues....this should bolt right on to yours. Obviously it is not.
I am willing to buy this back from you as I stand behind what I sell on here. But would really like to know....
My bike is a 2011 StreetGlide with the 103 engine.
I just bought on here a Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather and the bolt holes are different to bolt it up to my throttle body, mine has 2 bolt holes across from each other on top and 1 in the center bottom.
The Heavy Breather I just got the bolt holes are different?
What gives, any options ?
Thanks, Bill
Your part number is correct for your bike. Download the installation guide off the Harley website. Did you remove the induction module support bracket?
can you see the issue now, this is a pic of the breather plate, bolt pattern for my throttle body isn't even close.
If I'm missing it all together please explain.
Bill
Ok, so wondering if my friend doesn't know what year bike he has. Looking at photos of base plate you posted of the one I sent you it looks to match up to the pattern of the 2007 throttle body.
This doesn't explain why my 14 a/c fits on his bike.....
Yep, the throttle body you posted is the same bolt pattern as the breather plate I received. So I guess I either need to get the right breather plate or send it back.
Your call..
Bill
Did you compare it to the parts list in the PDF link I gave you. If you did and what you have dose not match. You do not have what you think you do.
I can not read the part number on your backing plate , compare it to the parts list in the PDF file http://www.harley-davidson.com/app-c...ts/-J05499.PDF

The link you post has a redirect loop it won't let me open it.
I've tried a bunch of times.

Strange I can open it from the sight. You really need to look at that PDF what is the part number on the backing plate you were sold?
Try to copy and paste it into your browser. as this
