Default carb conversion, engine light

Hey everyone, I have a question, last fall I finally removed my MM injection system from 2000 road glide, and replaced it with a 45mm sceaming eagle CV carb...it works really great and with some help here the whole conversion went smooth and easy so thanks for that.

but now that that is done I have an engine light on because it doesnt see the computer anymore, I want to ether remove the bulb or cut the power to it, so I need to know ether how to get the gauge apart or what wire to cut, lots of these conversions have been done in the past so I'm hopeing that someone will remeber how to do this

There were 2000 RG's with carbs weren't there? If so, there should be a way to get it functioning properly (unless you used aftermarket ignition maybe?) Just taking the bulb out is a bandaid, and could be problematic in the future. What are the details of your conversion?

assuming you used a twin tec or other module to replace the stock...engine light no longer applies, so just snip and cap the wire or remove the wire from a connector block.

i don;t have a 2000 i'll see if i can find a wiring diagram i can reference

sorry, I don;t a have a wiring diagram...someone here does and I'm sure can trace the wiring for you.

seeing that you are in Angus, I suppose we have a little time to sort this out.

The 2000 models still had the camshaft sensor. If you installed a TwinTec or something then it wouldn't need that anymore. I did this on a 2000. However it was a 2000 with a carb.

Just did my 2000 FLHTCI and I don't have that problem. Used a 2000 ignition module and carb harness. Runs better than ever.
